Promoting Access to Specialized Schools in New York City (PASSNYC) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to broadening access to educational opportunities for New York City students. In less than a year of public facing operations, we're up to 33 partners, and we're providing free test prep electronically to over 1,100 students from more than 600 schools! PASSNYC's chief goals for the start of 2017 are increasing Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) awareness through targeted outreach and by launching Collective Impact Efforts; and continuing our work with the NYC Dept. of Education to implement $15MM of new initiatives focused on increasing access and boosting diversity at the specialized high schools.
